No Win No Fee lawyers’ fees
No win no fee is not a legal right
It’s no secret that the costs associated with taking legal action can be quite expensive. Things such as medical assessments (which are compulsory in all claims), expert testimony and time spent gathering evidence can add up and not all law firms will cover you for this.
Although you may be very familiar with the term no win no fee it’s actually just another term for what’s known as a conditional cost’s agreement.
In a cost’s agreement, a no win no fee lawyer makes an agreement with a plaintiff stating that “the legal costs associated with their personal injury claim will only be deemed payable upon a successful outcome. However, these types of agreements can be very complex and, in some cases, impossible for the average person to understand and this is why you need to be careful.
Often untrustworthy lawyers will try to make light of their unfair agreement by confusing their clients with legal jargon.
So how are we different?
Our lawyers will never try to confuse or trick you into signing an unfair agreement. At Millner and Knight, we believe in complete transparency and to maintain our reputation, we hold our legal panel to some of the highest standards in the industry.
When you make an agreement with any of our partners, it will contain the following in clear and unambiguous terms.
- What is considered a successful outcome
- Whether you will be required to pay uplift fees
- A statement stating that you have been informed of your right to seek independent legal advice before signing any paperwork
- A cooling‐off period of not less than five clear business days
For more information regarding your matter, please call us on 1800 106 107 for free today.
Who pays my compensation?
If you have a valid claim your lawyer will aim to sue the person or corporation responsible for causing your injuries. If they can prove that they were at fault they will be the ones who are liable to pay your compensation.
In most cases, the person or organisation at fault will have some form of insurance policy in place, and it will normally be their insurance company who pays your financial recompense.
It’s good to note that the losing side will also pay a large percentage of your no win no fee lawyers.
How much compensation can you get?
The amount of compensation we can recover for you will depend on your individual circumstances.
The main variables which will affect your final outcome are:
- Lawyers experience
- The severity of your injuries
- Legal costs
- Past and future lost earnings
- The type of accident you were involved in
- Where your accident took place
In the early stages if any personal injury matter it’s difficult for a solicitor to accurately work out for how much you could receive.
It’s for this reason we created our online compensation calculator which can give you the answers you need without having to call us.
Why choose us?
